Here's the most amazing part of my return to "normal" life after my pilgrimage to Medjugorje. I was bold enough to tell some of my friends about my pilgrimage before I left - they are not really into this kind of faith journey. I was very surprised when I came back, when my colleagues asked me to share my story!
They were the ones who asked me to talk about my experience, and I felt like I'd grown wings! I told them everything, and also that I had prayed for all of them. The words flowed out of my mouth, without any effort on my part!
The power of the Holy Spirit is perfect: my friends were listening and crying quietly. They asked me if we could get together for dinner so they could hear more about my experience. My friend Henri said: "What you're saying is so incredible, it gives me goosebumps... we kept thinking of you while you were gone. We want to hear more!"
I feel so small... The great Grace of Medjugorje for me is above all a call to proclaim my faith, a call to the mission and a realization of my littleness before the greatness of God. I know that I have to go back. I know I haven't been able to understand everything inwardly; I think that's what Mary wants for me, because she wants me to come back. I hope I can take my husband with me. I place all my requests in Mary's hands with confidence.
