My name is Yomin, I am 53 years old. I was born into a Protestant family and was baptized at the age of 6 months. Since then I have remained in the Protestant faith knowing only Jesus. When I got married, I wanted to have children but it was impossible for me because of all my medical treatments. At over thirty years old, I was still without children!
One day, a lady with whom I was doing a training course told me about the Virgin Mary of the Rue du Bac in Paris: I immediately interrupted her, explaining that my Protestant faith did not accept the Virgin Mary! But my colleague insisted. Now, I used to read my Bible on the train and so, shortly afterwards, I came across the Gospel of John, chap 1: 1-5, and I received this word: "Go to the Rue du Bac!" (Editor’s note: the site of the Miraculous Medal apparitions to St Catherine Laboure). It was so strong and clear that I obeyed right away. It was in the year 2000, on a Tuesday. When I arrived at the chapel on rue du Bac at noon, the doors did not open until 2:00 p.m., so I went back to take the subway to go home. But then a voice resounded in my heart: "Stay there and wait."
So, I did some shopping while waiting for the opening. It was my very first time in a Catholic chapel and I was impressed by the statue of Mary. As I walked up to it, I read, "Come closer to receive the graces." I got down on my knees and began to talk about my worries about not having a child.
While I was talking, I felt like invisible drops of water were touching my skin and, at the same time, I felt a circular movement going up from my feet to my head. This happened three times. Then I went to talk to a priest in the confessional. And while I was talking to him, another word confirmed what the priest was telling me: I was going to have a child!
I had my first daughter when I was 33. Today, I have two daughters aged 19 and 21! Thank you Virgin Mary!
