The devotion to Mary Undoer of Knots is growing in the midst of current events.

The international marathon of prayer, organized by Pope Francis to end the coronavirus pandemic and placed under the protection of the Virgin Mary, ended on May 31, 2021. At the closing ceremony held in the Vatican gardens, Bishop Bertram Johannes Meier of Augsburg, who was present, presented Pope Francis with a copy of the painting of Mary Undoer of Knots. In this copy, the Virgin Mary is depicted wearing a crown. This crown exists: it was made by the Fratelli Savi jewelers. The prayer marathon thus ended with the solemn crowning of Mary Undoer of Knots.

After this first crowning, the decision was made to proceed with the official crowning of the painting of Mary Undoer of Knots in her Argentinian shrine, at the church of San José del Talar, in Buenos Aires. The crowning ceremony took place on November 7, 2021, presided over by the Archbishop of Buenos Aires and Cardinal Primate of Argentina, Mario Aurelio Poli, and concelebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Juan Carlos Ares, in the presence of the shrine's new priest, Father Ricardo Aloé, and ten other priests.
