Our Lady of Fatima will resume her travels around the world in 2022

The Shrine of Fatima has announced that, after an interruption and many postponements due to the Covid-19 pandemic, fourteen statues of Our Lady of Fatima (Portugal) are scheduled to travel in 2022: to Portugal, the United States, France, Nicaragua, Argentina, Italy, Chile, the Caucasus countries, Spain and Colombia.

Among the trips planned for the Pilgrim Virgin number 3, is Miami, Florida, from September 30 to November 5, for a congress organized by the Servants of the Pierced Hearts of Jesus and Mary, centered on the message of Fatima and entitled "Do not be afraid, my Immaculate Heart will be your refuge." According to Miami Archbishop Thomas Wenski, the tentative plan is to bring the Pilgrim Virgin to various parishes in the diocese.

France will host Pilgrim Virgin Number 5 in the Diocese of Nanterre from October 1, 2022 to August 31, 2023, in preparation for World Youth Day (WYD) 2023, which will be held in Portugal.

At a still unknown date, a statue will eventually make its pilgrimage to the Caucasus countries (Georgia, Armenia and Azerbaijan) in 2022, which had been planned for 2021 and then postponed due to the pandemic.

The Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima number 8 will be in southern Italy in May, the month of Mary, in the parish of Santa Maria la Nova, in the diocese of Aversa, then at the church of San Giuseppe and Santa Eufemia of the same diocese, in October.

The first pilgrim statue of Our Lady of Fatima was made according to the instructions given by Sister Lucia, one of the seers of Fatima. A gift from the Bishop of Leiria in Portugal, this first statue was solemnly crowned by the Archbishop of Evora on May 13, 1947. Since that date, she has traveled around the world several times, carrying with her a message of peace and of love.
