French mystic Marthe Robin: "Mary comes to the rescue of all human beings"

Marthe Robin (1902-1981), a stigmatized French Catholic mystic and founder of the Foyers de Charité, lived in Chateauneuf-de-Galaure, in the Drôme region of southeastern France. She was proclaimed "venerable" in November 2014. Her apostolic action was tremendous.

In this regard, the following is an excerpt from Father Dominique Bostyn's workshop during the International Meeting of Saint-Laurent-sur-Sèvre in 2004, on the theme "Marthe Robin and Father de Montfort":

Marthe's love of Mary cannot be reduced to a private devotion. Since the goal is to learn how to love, we can infer that a Marian heart expands to the dimensions of the world, as Marthe pointed out: "Mary does not only protect a few souls; she comes to the aid of all human beings. The Blessed Virgin is all-powerful with God's heart, therefore she protects, comforts, heals, encourages, enlightens, sustains, and wants to save her entire human family" (3/02/30).

We should remember that more than 100,000 people from all over the world went to see Marthe, who welcomed them as the Virgin Mary would have done. We should also remember and reflect on her long intercessions on their behalf, and the intentions she presented to Mary for them, for the Church, for France and for the world.

Marthe interceded in the same manner as Mary did at Cana, at the beginning of Jesus' public ministry, when she said: "They have no more wine".
