On the wood of the Cross, at the hour of his death, Jesus entrusted His disciple John to Mary: "Woman, behold your son," then He said to the disciple: "Behold your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.
In receiving the disciple, Mary became the Mother of all men. Her Heart is open to all needs, her hands are stretched out to all requests, her mantle is ample enough to welcome all humanity.
So let us go with confidence to the throne of grace and receive from Mary her timely help. Those who have entrusted themselves to her have never been rejected. Those who have turned to her assistance have never been disappointed.
"Who would dare to snatch us from her bosom, what temptation could overcome us, if we entrust ourselves to the patronage of the Mother of God and our mother?" St Robert Bellarmine exclaimed.
What harm could come to us if we take refuge in her Immaculate Heart? So let us not turn a deaf ear to Christ's invitation as He gives us Mary as our mother. Let us take the Virgin Mary into our homes, let us consecrate ourselves to her Immaculate Heart, and may the reign of the Heart of Jesus and Mary finally come to pass!
Hail, O Most Loving Heart of Jesus and Mary! I offer, give and consecrate my heart to you. Take it, purify it, sanctify it. May you live and reign in it now and always, forever and ever. Amen.
