On the weekend of November 23-24, 2019, Catholics in Mali celebrated the 48th pilgrimage to Our Lady of Mali shrine in Kita. Accompanied by a large delegation, the Minister of Religious Affairs and Worship, Thierno Hass Diallo, took part in this event in its entirety, even attending a play by the diocesan choir of Bamako.
Thierno Hass Diallo has always participated in this annual event in Kita. The performances of this great Marian feast lasted more than 4 hours but Minister Diallo watched everything with interest.
Asked about his impressions at the end of the evening, the Minister said he was very impressed by the quality of the performances. "What is impressive is this analysis of what Mali is today, because Mary is what is Christ, so the teachings of Christ become the teachings of Mary. The meaning of this evening is that the rebirth of Mali is possible.”
The Minister then thanked the Church for fostering unity in spirituality, in teaching and in joy.
Our Lady of Mali, pray for unity in the Church.
