I will dethrone Satan

In a convent of Quito, the capital of Ecuador, Mother Mariana of Jesus Torres y Berriochoa was favored by several apparitions of the Virgin Mary between 1588 and 1634. The religious visionary offered her life in reparation for the future heresies, blasphemies and impiety of the 20th century that had been revealed to her. It will be noted that many of these apparitions foretold the action of Freemasonry. A chapel and a convent dedicated to “Our Lady of Good Success” were built at the place of these apparitions.

Mother Mariana de Jesus was rediscovered at the end of the 20th century, meaning that those messages had remained hidden for more than 300 years. In 1991 the chapel was declared a Marian shrine of the Archdiocese of Quito.

Only contemporaries of Mother Mariana could have known about the Virgin’s prophecies given in 1634, which were: “When evil will appear triumphant … it will mark the arrival of my hour, when I, in a marvelous way, will dethrone the proud and accursed Satan, trampling him under my feet and fettering him in the infernal abyss.” These words of the Virgin Mary seem to be prophetic precisely our time. The Blessed Virgin gives us a very comforting reason for hope!

And how could it be otherwise—the Lord cannot abandon His children, and He has conquered Satan!
