The Virgin had asked Estelle Faguette, the seer of Pellevoisin (France), to have a keepsake of her miraculous recovery made, showing her a white marble ex-voto placed in front of her. Estelle asked: “My good Mother, where should it be placed? In the church of Our Lady of Victories in Paris, or at Pellevoi ...?”
Mary did not let her finish: “At Our Lady of Victories they have sufficient proof of my power, whereas at Pellevoisin they have none. People need a stimulus. Have courage; I wish you to keep your promise.”
Estelle recalled the following about the Virgin’s 5th apparition: “I saw in a vision what my ex-voto should look like, but this time the plate was no longer simply white. At the four corners were golden rosebuds; in the middle there was a burning heart of gold with a wreath of roses pierced with a sword. And there was this inscription: I called to Mary from the depths of my despair. She pleaded with her Son for me and gained my complete recovery.
