The success of Rosary Coast to Coast has prompted organizers in various countries to launch a new movement in the face of the many dangers threatening the world. They decided to launch a "Holy League of Nations" to raise a prayer of supplication from many countries.
This prayer has taken the form of a 54-day novena which started in the evening of August 15, 2018, feast of the glorious Assumption of the Virgin Mary, and ended on October 7, 2018, feast of the Holy Rosary and anniversary of the Victory of Lepanto. These dates were not randomly chosen.
“The formation of the New Holy League of Nations declares a united front in the worldwide spiritual battle, defending the dignity of the human person—life, marriage, family, as well as religious liberty,” the American organizers of Rosary Coast to Coast stated in a press release on July 3, 2018.
Bree Dail, international coordinator of the Holy League of Nations, talks about the birth and the scope of the project: "The roots of the movement come from Poland," she explained. "On October 15, 2016, more than 100,000 Catholics converged at Our Lady of Częstochowa Shrine in Jasna Góra (Poland) to pray in a spirit of reparation for the sins of their country. This was done under the guidance of Mgr. Stanisław Gądecki, head of the Polish Bishops' Conference."
