"Then I will drive Satan from his throne ..."

Polish author Wincenty Laszewski, in his book on “The miracles of Mary in the life of John Paul II” (1), writes that the Blessed Virgin Mary addressed to Mother Mariana de Jesus Torres, abbess of the Royal Monastery of the Immaculate Conception in Quito (Ecuador), from 1594 to 1634, many predictions, several of which clearly concern the 20th century, including the attack on Pope John Paul II and the fact that he survived.

The author evokes in particular the prediction the Blessed Virgin made to Mother Mariana in 1634 that seems to apply to us: "When it seems that the victory of evil is inevitable, it will be for you the sign that my time has come. That is when I will drive Satan from his throne, he who is imbued with pride and damned forever, by crushing him under my foot and chaining him into the abyss of hell."

Mary also said: "Even if the sun were to disappear, we should trust in God's plan of salvation ... Even when history seems to be finished for men, Heaven would still have a lot of time ... the miracle of St Peter's Square (the foiled assassination of Pope John Paul II) illustrates it very well. God will have the last word."
