On March 25, 1945, the Virgin Mary appeared in Amsterdam (The Netherlands) to a woman named Ida Peerdeman (d. 1996). This first apparition was followed by 56 others, intermittently between 1945 and 1959. The local bishop recognized the supernatural character of the apparitions of the Lady of All Nations on May 31, 2002.
The Virgin Mary appeared there under a new title by which she wishes to be known and loved by all people in our times: "The Lady of All Nations" or "Mother of All Peoples."
Mary drew a striking picture of the situation in the Church and in the world. Message after message, we witness the gradual revelation of a Plan by which God intends to save the world and prepare it, through His Mother, for a new outpouring of the Holy Spirit. To this end, Mary gave this prayer to the nations:
“Lord Jesus Christ, Son of the Father, send now your Spirit over the earth. Let the Holy Spirit live in the hearts of all nations, that they may be preserved from degeneration, disaster, and war. May the Lady of All Nations, the Blessed Virgin Mary, be our Advocate. Amen.
