The reformer of Carmel testified:
“For several years, it seems to me, I have been asking Saint Joseph for something on his feast day, and he has always answered me. When my request is not quite right, he straightens it out, for my greater good.
People of prayer, in particular, should always look to him; for I don't know how anyone can think of the Queen of Angels during the time she lived with the child Jesus, without thanking St. Joseph for helping them so efficiently.
Let those who cannot find a teacher of prayer take this glorious saint as their teacher, and they will not go astray along the way.”
Saint Teresa of Avila, Autobiography VI, 7-8.
