In this month of November, dedicated to the souls in Purgatory, let's take our rosary and form a climbing rope team with the Virgin Mary, Queen of the Suffering Church, and pray for their deliverance!
The Church's liturgy particularly invites us on this day to pray for the Suffering Church, i.e all the souls currently in the intermediate state of Purgatory who need our prayers and mortifications, to erase as quickly as possible their temporal pains due to their sins, which have been forgiven but not expiated while on earth.
This is not a day of sadness or mourning: it is a day of fervent supplication that, through Mary, our Mother Church may deliver her deceased children, so that God, who is all Love, may welcome them as soon as possible into Eternal Life.
