Manila Archbishop Jose Cardinal Advincula cited the importance of praying the Holy Rosary to strengthen one’s faith and spiritual life.
His Eminence presided over the Eucharistic celebration for the staff and volunteers of the Archdiocese of Manila who held a launching activity to open the month of October as Holy Rosary Month.
In his homily during the mass at the Manila Cathedral, Cardinal Advincula said the Holy Rosary may be considered as “the compendium of the Holy Bible as it narrates the life of Jesus Christ from His birth, death and resurrection.”
For his part, Fr. Sanny De Claro, Episcopal Vicar for Lay Employees of the archdiocese, cited the noble intentions of the activity which is being held for the first time with all the employees of the Archdiocese of Manila in attendance.
“I am glad that we are able to hold this activity for the first time with all the employees of the archdiocese praying the Holy Rosary. Only Mary can gather all of us together. At times like these, we really need our devotion to the Holy Rosary,” Fr. De Claro said over Radio Veritas. “We pray the Rosary as a family, as a community, as a group, individually or as an institution. Our world will be a better world if we pray the Rosary,” Fr. De Claro insisted.
