Although they may not realize it, all baptized women have a real mission in the Church. And that mission is to give life! She doesn't know it, but the child she has given birth to might someday wear the miter and hold the crosier. To whom will the child owe this mission? Isn't it to the woman who gave birth to him, who bore him, nurtured him, cared for him, raised him, and taught him, in the silence of her heart, to make a true "mother" of the Church that called him. Ask him if it is not the case!
The Founder of the Church is Jesus Christ. To found the Church, he chose his apostles and sent them out on mission. But to whom did he entrust this Church? To the only woman in whom he had complete confidence: his own Mother. She was valiant and strong at the foot of the cross, supported by the beloved disciple. The others had all fled, trembling with fear!
And now we are told that the woman has no place in the Church? What was she doing at the foot of the cross? Just crying out in pain? What is woman's place in the Church? The one the Lord himself gave her, at the cross.
She strengthened Peter and softened Paul! And she was glorified in body and soul, the woman whom sin has never touched, to continue her true mission: to teach the Church to be Mother. This is the mission of every woman, whether married or consecrated. It is the mission of the Church, both understood as "communion" and "institution".
