The Virgin Mary, during her apparitions, encouraged the world to say this prayer: "Say the Rosary every day to obtain world peace and the end of war," she asked on May 13, 1917, during her first apparition in Fatima, Portugal, where she introduced herself as "the Lady of the Rosary".
Thus, in 1947, when France was on the brink of civil war, something completely unexpected happened: at the very moment of the apparitions at Île Bouchard (central France) during which Our Lady asked four children to pray the Rosary for France, the political situation was completely restored in a matter of days, all threats were removed and peace returned.
Countless saints and popes have recommended the faithful recitation of the Rosary as a sure way to transform our soul into the likeness of Christ. This prayer is so powerful that it has changed the course of history many times and can also change the course of our lives.
In this prayer we exercise true endurance and perseverance, which make us strong against our enemy, the devil. This prayer strengthens us in our daily spiritual battles, when the devil tries to make us fall. Thus, when we feel anger or sadness rising, we should pick up our rosary, accompany Jesus in his Passion, hold Our Lady's hand at the foot of the Cross, and make our own the words of the crucified Christ: "Not my will, but yours be done.
