Venerable Marcel Van: the power of the Hail Mary

“By depriving me of Communion, the devil thought that he would discourage me and draw me into his camp. But, honestly, he is much less intelligent than the little boy that I was. Being only a demon, his eyes did not see, next to the little child, a sweet Woman who wrapped him in her mantle of virginity. Did he believe that with his cruel machinations he would be able to cause the fall of the poor and weak child that I was? But he had no idea that he would have to back down and give way before the power of the Hail Marys that came out of that child's mouth.

Satan was defeated, but the victory belonged to the Blessed Mother. She was the only power of this child, a power that thwarted all the tactics of Satan... Oh, how the holy names of Jesus and Mary healed all the painful wounds of my heart; they were an invincible strength for me in the fight against the enemy! How lovely these names are to me! For all eternity, I will praise the most holy names of our Lord and of his most holy Mother!”
