In Beauraing, Belgium (province of Namur), the communal emergency plan was lifted after the passage of a tornado on the weekend of June 19-20, 2021, which damaged approximately 90 structures and destroyed 6 houses. Their residents have been relocated, but the cleaning will take some time and a lot of effort.
Somewhat unsurprisingly, the Shrine of the Virgin of the Golden Heart was spared: aside for a few trees felled by the strong winds, the whole site and famous statue of the Virgin Mary sustained no damage, while all the houses around it were devastated, including the building next door which houses a reception center and a community of sisters.
The faithful have seen this as a sign. A woman said: "I believe that nothing can happen to her (the Virgin Mary)."
