Through the Rosary, we can hope to shatter the great religious indifference of today’s world, a world without hope.
Through the Rosary, we can obtain everything. The Rosary can be compared to a long chain that links earth to Heaven. We hold on to one end while the other is in the hands of the Blessed Virgin.
The Rosary is very pleasing to God. That is why the Church invites us to recite it every day during this month of October, before Jesus truly present and exposed on the altar or hidden in the tabernacle.
“Slowly recited and meditated during family prayer time, as a group, or alone, the Rosary will gradually put in your hearts the same feelings that Jesus and His Mother had in their own Hearts, as you immerse yourself in the key events of the world’s salvation.” (Pope Saint John Paul II, homily, May 6, 1980)
We could also consider starting the practice of the first Saturday devotion requested by Our Lady in Fatima. During each of her six apparitions at Fatima, Our Lady revealed to us that the Rosary, far from being a minor or optional devotion, is the most ordinary condition for infallibly obtaining all the graces we ask of her. For indeed, she is the Mediatrix of all graces, by the will of her Son.
Mary wants to bestow on our souls, families, homelands, and the world, this torrent of favors that she holds in her Heart, if only we would humbly pray and implore her through daily Rosaries.
Our decadent modern societies are undoubtedly the result of lack of prayer. It was in anticipation of this general disorientation that Our Lady so insistently asked for the recitation of the Rosary. And since the Rosary is, after the Holy Mass, the most apt prayer for preserving faith in souls, the devil is strongly fighting it in any way he can.
The Rosary is the most powerful weapon for defending ourselves on the battlefield. (Letter from Sister Lucia of Fatima to a priest, November 26, 1970)
