Mary taught us to give to God what we are ashamed to confess

My wife and I went to Medjugorje (Bosnia-Herzegovina) in 2017, a little out of curiosity, but the Virgin Mary brought out from the depths of our hearts the regret of a past abortion we had carried bottled up inside for a long time.

In Medjugorje, the Virgin Mary taught us to give to God the things that we don’t dare to confess. By holding our hand during confession, Mary brought out from the depths of our hearts the pain that had been there for more than 10 years. This abortion, this child we did not keep for lack of understanding and courage because we already had 5 small children at home. Of course, this is not an excuse for what we did.

Mary helped us to give our suffering to the Lord and to receive his forgiveness. She taught us how to love Jesus with a deep love. When we came back, we explained all this to our children who are now grown-up. Since then, we pray for all unborn lives. May our prayers help those who are considering abortion, so they can make the right decision and choose life.

May the Virgin Mary and the Lord guide our every step.
