Where do we find Jesus on earth if not in Mary’s arms? Did she not give us the Eucharist? Her acceptance of the incarnation of the Word in her womb set in motion the great mystery of Jesus’s reparation of injuries towards God and his union with us, which Jesus fulfilled during his mortal life and continues to give us in the Blessed sacrament.
Without Mary, we could not go to Jesus. For she possesses him in her heart—he delights in it, and those who want to know his intimate virtues, his secret and privileged love, must seek them in the heart of Mary. Those who love this good Mother will find Jesus in this heart so pure. We must never separate Mary from Jesus—we cannot go to him without going to her first.
I would even say that the more we love the Eucharist, the more we must love Mary. We love everything that a friend loves. Well, is there a more beloved creature of God, a mother more tenderly loved by her son, than Jesus was towards Mary?
