"Jesus is the flower that blossoms on the stem of Jesse—if you want to pick this blessed flower, bend by your prayers the branch that bears it, and seek the Eucharistic Jesus only on the virginal breast of Mary," says Saint Bonaventure, ofm (1217-1274).
All the created graces contained in the Sacrament of the Eucharist are in the power of Mary. But this is still little—the holy Host actually contains the very author of grace, Jesus, who is the infinite and immortal God.
Mary has a sovereign power over Jesus in the Eucharist—the power of a mother! She also gives and dispenses the Uncreated Grace, and that is what makes her the Mistress and Lady of the Blessed Sacrament! Mary is the treasurer of Jesus Christ. She possesses and gives Him!
