Our Lady of Guadalupe rescues the unborn

Do you know about the miracle that took place on April 24, 2007, in the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the same day that Mexico City legalized abortion on demand, previously prohibited? Here is the story:

"At the end of the Mass offered for the unborn, while many of the faithful were taking photographs of the tilma (cloak) of Tepeyac, exposed and venerated in the basilica and at the foot of which the crowd of pilgrims filed by on a moving walkway, the image of the Virgin began to fade, giving way to an intense light emanating from her abdomen, in the shape of an embryo.

Engineer Luis Girault, who inspected the image, found that it did not come from any reflection, but literally emanated from inside the image of the Virgin. The light it produced was white, pure and very intense, different from the usual photographic glare produced by flashes. This light was surrounded by a halo and seemed to float inside the Virgin’s womb.

This halo had the shape and measurements of an embryo. In fact, if we examine the image closely, we can see darker areas inside the halo that are characteristic of a human embryo in the mother's womb. As the Catholic faith teaches, Jesus Christ is indeed true God and true Man!

In his time, the unborn Saint John the Baptist leaped in his mother's womb to greet his unborn Lord. Our Lady of Guadalupe rescues the unborn, forgotten by legislators—thus reminding us of Luke’s Gospel (1:31): Behold, you will conceive in your womb, and you will give birth to a son, and you will give him the name of Jesus."
