From the Annunciation to the Eucharist, the same "Amen" of faith resounds. Mary, Mother of Jesus, is the first tabernacle in history. Christ radiated through Mary's gaze and voice as she visited her cousin Elizabeth.
From the wedding at Cana where, at the prayer of his mother, Jesus changed water into wine, until the hour of the Eucharist when Jesus gave himself under the species of bread and wine, God expects the same faith and trust from us that Mary showed.
Saint John Paul II placed the Institution of the Eucharist among the luminous mysteries of the Rosary. Mary is the "Eucharistic woman" because of her inner attitude.
The Eucharist has a sacrificial dimension. It is the memorial of the death and resurrection of Jesus. Let us live the Eucharist with the attitude of Mary at the foot of the cross. In the memorial of Calvary, Jesus also says to each one of us: "Here is your Mother!" The Eucharist is an act of praise. May we experience it with the Magnificat of Mary!
