On September 30, 2018, Bishop Bestion will dedicate the diocese of Tulle (France) to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. To prepare for this, the diocese chose and replicated a local image of the Virgin Mary, to help families pray in preparation for the Consecration. These pilgrim Virgins will finish their pilgrimage in homes on September 30, 2018, at Tulle Cathedral.
On several Sundays prior to the day of Consecration, parishioners and families will have the opportunity to take one of these images of the Virgin home for a week, along with a small booklet of proposed prayers. Then on the following Sunday, the image will be brought back to the church at the beginning of Mass and then go out to another family at the end of Mass.
The preparation period will also include a full day of adoration, from Friday, September 28th in the morning, until Saturday, September 29th in the morning—24 hours of continuous adoration before the Blessed Sacrament exposed in Tulle Cathedral, in the churches of Saint-Martin de Brive, Ussel, Objat, and other parishes that have opted to offer it.
