March 17 – Virgin of the French (Nagasaki, Japan) - Saint Patrick (Ireland, d. 461)

Mary, emblem of the victory against the evil one

In these times of rejection of God and the truth of religion, the Virgin Mary, who is herself a victim of so many blasphemies and insults from ignorant and spiritually malicious people, remains for the world of believers the emblem of victory against the evil one and the death he has unleashed on humanity.

The woman of the Apocalypse, clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and crowned with twelve stars, the new Eve, will crush the serpent's head, which will of course pew out shouts and insults, again and always.

While it is true that the great Western revolutions were successful in bringing hope to many national movements against despotic governments in the Third World, the question remains of whether these revolutions, or at least these movements, have led to the improvement of the living conditions of the populations, or led countries to fall under the yoke of new dictatorships?
