A Marian theology course was organized for Vatican-appointed ambassadors by the Pontifical Marian International Academy (PAMI) on Monday, April 16, 2018, in Rome.
The course was taught by Fr. Stefano Cecchin, PAMI’s president, at the Antonianum, which is the Pontifical Franciscan University of Rome. "Diplomats play an important role in political mediations. We Franciscans are working to restore the 'feminine dimension,' not only in religion and devotion, but also in the practice of everyday life and therefore also in diplomatic life," Fr. Cecchin said.
At the closing and awards ceremony for this training course, held on May 24, 2018, joint initiatives of the Diplomatic Corps and PAMI were also presented. Honduran Cardinal Oscar Rodriguez Maradiaga, Archbishop of Tegucigalpa, participated in this ceremony.
