February 23 – Apparition of Mary the Immaculate Mother of Victory to Cäcilia Geyer (Wangen/Wigratzbad, Germany, 1938 - approved apparition)

How I manage to drive without holding my rosary beads

When I travel alone, by car, I like to pray the Rosary. To keep track of the Hail Marys without having to hold my rosary beads, I have picked ten titles of Our Lady, and taking them in alphabetical order, I pray for a particular intention at each invocation:

1. Holy Mary, Mother of God, Our Lady of Aparecida, pray for us, sinners. I am praying in union with all the Brazilian people who invoke their patroness.

2. Mary of Cana, who presents our needs and supplications to Jesus.

3. Mother of Sorrows, who gave her unconditional fiat and remained steadfast all the way to the foot of the cross.

4. Star of New Evangelization: she is the Star of our mission of evangelization, which is the mission of the whole Church.

5. Our Lady of Guadalupe, Patroness of Latin America, who appeared as a mother with native features.

6. Mother of the Church, Heavenly Mother on whom the faithful can count, in their joys as in their sorrows.

7. Mary of the Magnificat. Remember Bishop Helder Camara, who admired that Mary praised God for overthrowing the powerful from their throne, even though he himself had been called a communist when he gave the same praise.

8. Mary of Nazareth. The "historic" Mary, the very humble girl of Nazareth, called by God to fulfill her unique and sublime mission, according to God’s plan.

9. Virgin of the Poor. This is how she appeared in Banneux, Belgium, inspiring our reverence for the poor.

10. Our Lady of Flanders. By invoking her with this title, to which the faithful of Flanders, my native country, are very attached, I pray with and for the people who sent me to Brazil.
