Light clothed the Virgin

The angel Gabriel descended amid a heavenly light. This light clothed the Virgin, and the angel had a garment so bright that I cannot compare it to anything on earth.

When she saw the light with the eyes of her body, she got up and was seized with fear. When she looked at the angel, she saw on his face the reflection of her chastity. She was standing in an attitude of modesty, listening and attentive.

Then the angel greeted her and told her the will of God. His words pleased the heart of the Virgin, filled her senses and set her soul on fire. However, her virginal modesty and love for God prompted her to ask for an explanation.

When she was instructed, she opened her heart in all good will, then knelt down and said, "I am the servant of God, let your words be fulfilled." Then the whole Trinity with the power of Divinity, the good will of Humanity, and the nobility of the Holy Spirit penetrated her whole virginal body.
