An icon of the Mother of God in Bulgaria

Orthodox pilgrims from all over the world may see the miraculous icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary at the “Uspenie Bogorodichno” Cathedral in Varna, Bulgaria.

The Ukrainian Orthodox Church has sent a miraculous icon of Our Lady of Nazareth to Varna, Bulgaria where it will be publicly exhibited for a limited time. The official reception of the holy relic has been appointed for January 27, 2018 at the “Uspenie Bogorodichno” Cathedral in Varna. The presence of the icon in the temple will be paired with series of celebratory sermons.

The miraculous icon of the Holy Virgin is known to have the source of numerous miracles. Most of them consider helping women who have problems conceiving, helping women in troubled pregnancies, bringing disputes to an end and ensuring the safe return of children to their parents. The icon has drawn flocks of pilgrims towards it every time it has come to Bulgaria, or has been exhibited in Ukraine and Russia.
