We should let the sweet Rosary embrace the whole journey of our life. Through the heart of Mary, the Rosary places our personal story into the life of Christ, and his life into our daily life.
The Rosary is the prayer of the forgotten, the poor, and the simple. That’s why it’s Mary’s prayer. She has a heart as large as all humanity precisely because she is small and humble. When we pray to Mary, we turn to a maternal and human heart that beats for the whole world.
When we repeat in faith Elizabeth’s words, saying, "Blessed are you among women and blessed is the fruit of your womb, Jesus," we can picture the Virgin expecting the Christ Child. We receive from her arms the blessed fruit that she gives us today, in order to free us from our fears and all that which we don’t like in ourselves. This blessed fruit nourishes us and saves us.
