When we suffer, we really need a mother by our side

Mary’s beautiful mission is to bring to Jesus all who approach her. Become tiny in the arms of our beloved mother! Stay close to her and she’ll tell us that our only obligation as a Christian is to be like Jesus. There is—and there has always been—only one way to be like Jesus: we need to deny ourselves, take up our cross and follow him.

Mary also tells us what she knows from experience: that with Jesus, to renounce our self, take up our cross and follow him is not putting shackles on our feet but wings to our heart, giving us joy and happiness that fills our life with a piece of heaven ... It means rising up, getting closer to God, little by little. She tells us that the Cross becomes lighter and sweeter each day, when we carry it while at the same time growing in holiness...

When we suffer, when we cry, when we are sad and lonely, it's not hard to be tiny, because we need help and really need a mother by our side. Who doesn’t experience suffering? Who doesn’t need to be consoled and forgiven, to be loved and to be healed?
