The Earth Yielded Its Fruit

"Let all the nations celebrate God: the earth has yielded its fruit," say the Scriptures. But first, the earth gave its flower. It is written in the Song of Songs: "I am the flower of the fields, the lily of the valley." The flower afterwards became fruit, so that we may eat it, so that we may eat its flesh.
