The Blessed Virgin's Predestination (I)

I saw in my mind how his Majesty is in himself; infinite in his substance and attributes, united in essence and in the trinity of Persons, eternally equal yet distinct. I first beheld him in a vast desert void of all the creatures of whom he had no need, and I witnessed his decree to accomplish works ad extra, i.e. to draw out of nothingness all the beings present in his mind. At that moment I had the boldness to ask his majesty what hierarchy he chose in that desert so as to know what rank the Mother of God was to occupy. He deigned to satisfy this desire and I will now tell the order I discovered in his thoughts.
