"We believe that Mary is the Mother, who remained ever a Virgin, of the Incarnate Word, our God and Savior Jesus Christ" (cf Lumen Gentium, 53). By the power of the Holy Spirit Jesus became incarnate from the Virgin Mary, and was made man. "In all truth I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, it is my Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world" (Jn 6:32-33, 58). He was the final Passover Lamb. But unlike other sacrificial lambs, this Lamb rose from the dead to give life to all those who put their trust in Him. "...unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink His blood, you have no life in you.... For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink" (Jn 6:53-55). If only the world knew the full measure of God's love in giving us His only Son, born of the Virgin Mary, they would flock to the Eucharist - true Bread from Heaven - on bended knee.
